The Soul of Money Institute’s mission is to inspire, educate and empower you to realign the acquisition and allocation of financial resources with your most deeply held values. The Institute is committed to providing programs and resources that shift your relationship with money to one of freedom, meaning, and contribution.

Our theme for 2008 is the celebration of sufficiency (we have enough, do enough, and are enough) and the indomitable human spirit, resilient to the ups and downs of market forces. There has never been such a fertile field for ‘being the change you wish to see in the world’ with our money!

We encourage you to take a deep look at how money influences your life, and to reaffirm money as a conduit for commitment, heart, and the affirmation of life. Through this conscious reallocation, you connect with the taproot of your own prosperity and contribute actively to the turning tide sweeping the planet.

One personal expression of the turning tide is my decision to live and work in Ecuador until October 2008 on behalf of The Pachamama Alliance. In addition to the work of the Soul of Money Institute, my husband and I are the co-founders of this organization, whose mission is to:

  • Preserve the Earth’s tropical rainforest by empowering the indigenous people who are its natural custodians;
  • Contribute to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all.

The Pachamama Alliance is engaged in such timely and historic work in South America this year that we decided to relocate for most of this year to further several initiatives. Together they carry the potential to transform the human family’s relationship to the current planetary crisis/opportunity. All of my available professional time for 2008 has been committed. The Soul of Money Institute continues to provide programs, consulting, and coaching while I’m gone on a more limited basis.
